About Emuability

We are a locally owned, registered NDIS provider based in Oran Park NSW. Our local team brings over 10 years of combined experience in disability support, and we help people live more independently, confidently and on their own terms. We are honest about what we can and cannot do, and if another provider suits part of your needs better, we will tell you.

Getting started

It takes four simple steps. Get in touch by phone, email or our form. We have a free chat about your goals and your plan. We match you with the right support workers. Then your support starts, and we check in as your goals change.

How to access support

Yes. Your first chat is obligation free. It is a chance for us to understand your goals, and for you to decide if we are the right fit.

Enquire now

Our services are for NDIS participants. The NDIA decides who is eligible. If you are not sure, call us and we will point you in the right direction.

Yes. Support coordinators, Local Area Coordinators, health professionals and families can all refer a participant using our referral form. We will be in touch as soon as possible.

Make a referral

Yes. Support is available on evenings, weekends and public holidays, so it fits around your life.

It helps to have your NDIS number, your plan start and end dates, how your plan is managed, and your plan manager's details if you have one. Don't worry if you don't have them all. We can help.

Our office is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Call us on 0494 500 344, email info@emuability.com.au, or send us a message any time and we will reply as soon as possible.

Our services

Yes. Before support starts, we write down your goals, your routine and how you like things done. Everything we do links back to the goals in your NDIS plan, and we review it with you as life changes.

Yes. We match workers to your needs, interests, culture and preferences, and you always have a say. We aim to keep the same small team with you, and if a match is not working, just tell us and we will change it.

Yes, we are welcoming new SIL participants. We provide the daily support, not the house itself, and we can work alongside your SDA or housing provider. Get in touch to talk about the support you need.

About Shared Living and SIL

Yes. We offer respite support, so family carers can take a break while our support workers look after the participant. We provide the support only, not the accommodation. It can be at home, in the community, or during a stay your family has arranged.

About respite support

Transport support gets you where you need to go. Community Participation supports you to take part in the activity once you are there.

Funding and plans

All three. Because we are a Registered NDIS Provider, we can support NDIA managed participants as well as plan managed and self managed participants. Only registered providers can be paid from NDIA managed funding.

Personal Care, Household Tasks, Shared Living and SIL, and respite support come from your Core Supports budget for Assistance with Daily Life. Community Participation and Group Activities come from Core Supports for Social and Community Participation. Transport comes from Core Supports for Transport. Life Skills comes from your Capacity Building budget.

In many plans, transport funding is paid as regular payments straight into your bank account. If that is how your plan works, you pay us directly for transport, whatever your plan type.

Your supports are paid from your NDIS plan funding. The NDIA decides which supports are reasonable and necessary for you and includes them in your plan. We charge in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, and every price is set out in your service agreement.

It is written in your NDIS plan. Not sure? Just ask us and we will help you work it out.

Yes. Before support starts, we agree in writing on your supports, prices and how we will work together, including how short notice cancellations work under the NDIS rules.

Yes. If SIL is not in your plan yet, talk to your support coordinator or the NDIA about home and living supports. We are happy to help you understand the process.

Understanding the NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funds reasonable and necessary supports for eligible Australians with permanent and significant disability, giving participants choice and control over the support they receive.

PACE is the NDIA's new system for managing plans, budgets and payments. It now applies to new plans and plan renewals. If your plan is NDIA managed, you will need to add us as one of your my providers for each type of support we deliver, so we can be paid. Service bookings are no longer needed, which makes it easier to choose or change providers, and you decide which parts of your plan we can see. Not sure where to start? We are happy to walk you through it.
